NO FEELING IS FINAL AUSTRALIA COUNCIL SUPPORT MATERIAL
In 2022 I had the incredible opportunity to create the acclaimed No Feeling Is Final Live show for the finale of The Big Anxiety Festival.
Not only did was it a sold-out performance and get rave reviews, but it was a first-of-its kind commission for RMIT The Capitol theatre in Melbourne’s CBD, where I worked with a top notch creative team to push the boundaries of the venue to create a totally bespoke work unlike anything that’d been done in the space.
Unfortunately however, due to the sensitive nature of the subject material - the show deals with my own experiences of chronic suicidality, and unhelpful/discriminatory responses from the mental health and health systems - many people who were beyond keen to see the show couldn’t because of their own mental health struggles.
I want to rectify that.

I will work with the same amazing interdisciplinary team who created the live show - filmmaker Nikki Castle, creative technologist Rob Curulli, mental health advocate and writer Graham Panther, co-writer Joel Werner and sound designer Martin Peralta - to undertake a creative development process over seven months to develop an experimental screen-based version of the show.
Over the seven months development period we want to again push the envelope like we did with the live show, as well as elevate what accessible works like this can be, to make sure this important work is accessible to all who need it.
